Whether you’re looking for a lunchtime basketball game or a new bridge group, whether you like to pedal on two wheels or skate on four, there is always somewhere and something to play in Spartanburg.
The Parks & Recreation Department is dedicated to enhancing your quality of life by providing a variety of recreational programs and opportunities in safe, well-maintained facilities and parks. More than 150,000 people of all ages participated in a program, took a class, or utilized a city recreation center or park at least once last year. And all of our fitness classes, sports, cultural arts and other special programs are open to the general public and are either free or available at a modest cost.
Hub Love Geo Trail
The City of Spartanburg Parks and Recreation department is taking geocaching to an exciting new level with the Hub Love Geo Trail. The trail takes participants around the City of Spartanburg on a high tech adventure and scavenger hunt using GPS to find hidden geocaches. Collect seven of the eight caches hidden around our city and complete the Hub Love Trail Passport to win a limited edition, trackable, commerative geocoin.
